Located in Ataco, El Salvador, in the heart of the Central American volcanic mountains at an average altitude of 1,300m above sea level, El Molino de Santa Rita is a 202 hectare coffee farm that produces top quality coffees, grown under shade with natural irrigation and great respect for the environment.
On the steep hillsides, the coffee farm's soil is mostly sandy loam, and the annual rainfall averages 2,600mm. The harvest is performed by hand between the months of December and March. After the careful manual harvest, the mature coffee cherries are washed in natural spring water and sun-dried on patios.
